Our newly redesigned UL Listed smoke and heat vent was launched in the second half of 2005. This product line incorporates a number of unique features.
First is a proprietary latch system that is designed specifically for the needs of roof mounted hatches. The assembly ensures a positive response when actuated, and yet maintains the hatch doors in a closed condition under extreme wind conditions.
Secondly, the assembly utilizes high performance gas springs with integral dampening to assure smooth and controlled openings when actuated. No need for seperate shock absorbers that add weight and torque loads to the doors.
Thirdly, the door and frame assemblies are fabricated with sections engineered to provide the strength to meet the rigorous test requirements of Underwriters Laboratories, and yet light enough so installation is less burdensome.
All of these assemblies may be customized with Metal Building Curbs to meet specific application requirements.
